Feeling cute tonight. Thought I'd give a share. The glasses are something from circa 2009 haha. Some things are just too cute to get rid of.

On another note, I saw something today that really kind of upset me. Back in late 2011 I began working on what would soon be known as [Blossom]. I still remember driving to take these classes my husband and I were taking at the time (for something unrelated in RL) and I suddenly announced that I has spent the past few months creating and I finally felt big enough to showcase it. In the beginning of 2012 I opened my store. At the time I was flying by the seat of my pants and looking for more than one location. I saw a group IM in a stores group about someone opening a mall area. I inquired and was pursued to open. I paid for a month figuring I would see what happened. Not even halfway through my trial period, the sim was suddenly and abruptly closed. I was given my money back after I inquired about my loss of money. My stuff was returned and I never really heard much after that. A few times along the way I saw this person making other stores and setups.
I recently have received a few IMs on blogging my items which is rather interesting as my store has been in-world closed (except for Shop Free*Style and Marketplace). I've been taking Blender classes to start making my own things and hopefully re-open or re-brand.
(Picture embarrassingly newb things like a table and chair, or the "Tiffany" styled lamp that Suddenly looked like a butt plug when posted in front of all the class. EEk)
 But that hasn't happened yet. After a while I realized someone else was using the Blossom name. This happens all the time in SL and RL , so I shouldn't be surprised. But what did surprise me was the owner of the store. Remember that store I mentioned above. Color me shocked when that same owner was now re-branding as Blossom. I have no idea for how long, but for some reason it just felt wrong to me.I don't know, maybe I'm touchy but it seems odd to me that someone from my past, especially another designer would suddenly be blowing up all over using a name I had chosen nearly 3 years ago..Especially someone who was running under a different brand...also super similar to another store...

What else is new in Khloe Land....

I guess you could say I'm back. Probably not much to blogging except to post updates on my Blender skills, or lack there of... and to show occasional cute things!

Halloween Things I forgot About :(

Anyway..

I forgot to tell ya'll that I made some Fall and Halloween things at the Shop Free*Style!

On the first floor I have a special edition Wrap Dress

It only costs :25L

I've also placed out a pair of the Vixen over the knee boots

You'll notice these only cost 1L.

I did this because of the extra bit of Gacha I placed upstairs. The boots are a compliment to my Halloween Sweater Dresses.

This is a Gacha item that only costs 25L each turn. There are 6 dresses in all.

It's a MEME kinda Day

I love Halloween normally so I have resurrected myself to do Berry's most recent Monday Meme! Woot.

This is Khloe as 'Bitchy Witchy'. I wanted a certain look and I feel like i've just fallen a little flat. I wanted this whole grotesque witch hybrid. I had a hard time finding the pieces... so this is how it ended up! Is 'ok'.

Also I'm entered in a Halloween Photo contest at Serenity Heaven, if you ya know.. wanna vote for me...Hellloooo shameless plugging.

(Actually on a normal day I would NEVER prompt people to do this, heck I never join contests in general. But I found myself annoyed by this particular place because the top person isn't even following the rules and the number 2 person is someone who lives on the sim and is like bff with the owner. Seems fishy so I shoved myself on in there. Votes are 1L  and end Oct 31so. Yeah)

Anyway!!! The stuffs!

1. Did you go trick or treating as a child? Yes, I did. I went for quite a while, no matter what the weather threw at us.
2. What was the best Halloween costume you ever saw or wore yourself? Actually I'm saving this answer for below... ha..
3. What is your most vivid memory about Halloween? When I was a little tot I really wanted to be a princess, but I wanted my Mom to MAKE my a princess costume. I didn't want to be like everyone else. My Mom didn't sew at all so she made it using staples and hot glue. We lived in FL and she followed me around the whole night with a stapler because my outfit kept melting a falling apart... ha <3
4. What is the scariest movie you have ever seen? I really hate scary movies but I especially hate anything with possession. This stems from a super vivid dream I had as a child where I swore that a man I viewed as "the devil" was trying to get me to open my mind to him. SO when it came time for things like 'The Exorcist' I pretty much wanted to die inside.
5. Do you ever get nightmares after watching a scary movie? Uhm, yeah.. see above haha.
6. Are you superstitious? If so, name at least one superstition of yours. Not really, I figured if I thought about every superstition out there I would have enough bad luck for 3 life times.
7. What will you be doing for Halloween this year, if anything, in SL and RL? I will probably be laying in my bed like I am now. I threw my back out sooo I suck. And my bday is Saturday, so I'm totally bummed to be missing all the fun stuff, Halloween is my jam usually :( In SL I'll be waiting to see if I've won! muahahaha

SO As you've probably seem, I'm closing [Blossom]. This wasn't really a shock to me as I'd been holding off doing so for a while. My heart isn't in it any more. When I heard the sim was closing, it all seemed like the right time.

I've been offering a massive sale on new things, old thing, Holiday wear, gatchas, gifts, freebies and more. In short- I pretty much feel like I'm holding my own estate sale. It's the death of [Blossom] and I'm totally cool with that.

As you can see by the sign, everything is 25L or less. This extends to everything I have- new, old, mesh, sculpty- whatever. It seems fair. For complicated Items I offer demos. At this point I consider myself selling "As Is". Most things are no transfer and I offer the best that I can, but at this late date it is what it is, ya dig?

So I was a little surprised when  I received a NC this evening. I recieved a note from a girl who was complaining on the size of a mesh object she purchased. She claimed I should have been more forthcoming on the fact that I did not offer xxs-xl sizes. Let's be honest, first off, I use mesh templates. I couldn't create my was out of a paper bag when it comes to creating my own mesh. That being said, I offered a smaller option and a larger option. I'm not the creator of the mesh, so there's not much more I can do. 

I was especially upset because I felt like she was attacking me personally and basically saying I scammed her. Her accusation that I did not specify is false for two reasons. One: it does indeed say that the boots only come in 2 sizes, right on the vendor. Two: I offered a demo on this. It's a free demo, take the 5 seconds to purchase a demo and try it before you buy it.

In the end she wanted a refund or for me to come up with more boots sizes. Like I said, this is the end for me. It's as is, that's it! Also, she didn't even bother to send a transaction history. She harped on me but didn't even do that simple thing. I've had huge amounts of sales in the past 3 days alone. I couldn't find her transaction at all.

What's the right answer here? My first inclination was to be all apologetic and whatnot. Then I reread the message a few times and my blood started to boil. I sent her a message back responding to all points, including my no refunds policy. It's in my store info picks...twice.

 Take the time to get your facts straight before you jump on my back. I did end up refunding her because I am indeed a sucker. I still have no idea if she actually purchased anything from me at all. She tried to act like she was doing me a favor. It was 25L- on one hand I wanted to be like really? All this for so little? Grow up, on the other hand I felt like I could say the same to myself. 

Ahh the trivial things we have to deal with as shoppers, designers and bloggers!

I announced today that my store is closing. That's about all things SL related. Yay two years.

All Things Come to an End

First things first, [Blossom] will be closing its in-world doors on July 15th.

I started [Blossom] in the January of 2012. I had these views of becoming a grand sensation. For me, [Blossom] was an outlet for all the things I wanted to say, but didn't know how.

Over the past few months my life has changed a lot. In my Real Life I'm a different person. I'm trying so hard to be a better me. This means my time in Second Life has become a lot less. But if you read my 'Good-bye', then you already know all that!

I had hoped to keep the doors of [Blossom] open a few months longer. My premium account ends in October so I figured I would end all thiongs at once. Unfortunately, like most things in life, our plans don't always work out.

I recieved word earlier this week that my main store sim location would be closing. It's sad in so many ways for me. I've been located on the Reasonable Desires sim from shortly after the creation of [Blossom]. I've know he owners, Austie and Marti for years. I got my start in the fashion world from them as a customer service rep! When they offered me a haven for my store I was excited. The sim is neat, the stores are fun, and it was with people I knew and trusted. A win in all sides for me. Saddly, like so many of us, RL has become a bigger priority for the RD ladies as well. They announced the closing of their sim earlier this week. The sim itself will be closing on July 20th. The Reasonable Desires store brand will still be around, just in a different scale and location.

For me this means I will be closing my doors a bit earlier than I had planned. It's time and I'm okay with that.

I will be offering all items in-world for 25L until July 15th! This includes mesh, sculpties and cheapies out. There are currently 2 group gifts out as well as two wearable demos for 5L each. After the 15th [Blossom] will be closing all in-world doors.

I was bored this afternoon and decided to check out Berry's Processing tutorial. My pictures tend to be a bit sorry looking so I gave it a minimal go. I didn't really have a chance to play, but it was still fun! I use GIIMP, instead of PS. FYI- The Liquify in Gimp is under Filters> Distorts> IWarp. I never even knew that existed! OMG.

Normally I would have cropped that sucker, maybe added a few highlights and slapped a DONE sticker on it. Yeah- pathetic. I don't blame y'all for not reading me anymore.

2. Does your avatar look like the real you? Not really. She's more like the 'me' I'm working on being. Getting in shape and trying to pretend like there is more to fashion than yoga pants and t-shirts. Yeahh.
3. Do you wear underwear/panties underneath your clothing when out and about on the grid? YES! With the creation of mesh, it became necessary! Before I only had undies for events! Now I'm afraid I'll have another no rez issue and be stuck naked. Or ya know, when someone isn't rezzing on your end and their mesh is like 30x bigger than it's supposed to be..or doesn't ever show up and it's like, "OH, hello, there's your lady parts..eh..yay?..."
4. If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? All the clothes and hair I always wanted and never bought because it was "too expensive". Then I would cash the rest out and live large in RL for a bit
5. Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? Oy, I do this a lot. This is one of the bad things about being hyper organized. I tend to forget to look in the organized parts and only take a glance at the messy, newer purchases. SIDE NOTE:I also hate when I buy something and then realize I can't use it! I bought this book for an RP I was a part of. It was expensive for me (about 1,000L in 2009). I bought it after being urged by the RP leader, only to be told later that my profile had a glitch that would not allow me to use the item. It was no trans, FAIL.
6. Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life?Oh yeah. I mean there was the normal for SL, joy riding, breading into houses and stuff. I did do one really bad thing one. Back before I met my RL hubby I was "engaged" in SL. First of all, the guy was a Furry..so...technically I was marrying a wild animal? OOPS. EEK. There was the whole failed engagement and the vanishing wedding payment.. but that's a whole other story.. shhhh
7. If you could go out on a date with any other avatar, who would it be? I'm so totally boring, I love my husband! Can we have a girls night instead, with people I'd want to drag along? Yes? OKAY!. I would totally drag Berry, Alicia Chenaux and Emerald Wynn, and kidnap them for a girly outing. The end.
8. Who, in your opinion, was the greatest avatar to ever slive? My old boss Jayme. She was epically cool and amazing in RL and SL!
9. What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? Well there was the whole getting locked in a lesbian sex dungeon... Uhm or the time I agreed to fill in as a stripper for a bachelor party. Or the time when this girl I'd been helping in SL tp'd me randomly. It turns out she was tping me to give her away at her "collaring ceremony". It was in Portuguese and everyone was naked... There are just so many stupidly funny things I've done in the world, I swear!
