LOTD- Snuggles

Hello my lovelies!

Do you know what is absolutely no fun? I do! Being woken up at 5:30am by loud thumping, followed 2 hours later by the roofers you've been waiting for for over a month.

The upside to all this was we finally got our new roof! Coupled with a late night however makes this girl a lazy bum! I battled around for a while with some outfits that just didn't suit my mood. One of the things I've been disliking lately are some of my animations in my AO. I've spent a good deal on some gorgeous sweaters only to be unable to wear them because my arms/hips/butt get in the way. After fiddling, swapping and changing I was able to test it on this luscious sweater from {u.f.o}. The thick cable knit made me want to curl up in front of the fire with a good book and tune out the world! What do you think? Comfy weather cute?

I wasn't feeling jeans with this look and while it was nearly long enough to sport as a dress I just didn't feel to comfortable with that! We all know how snoopy some folks can be! Instead I paired it with the Heather Grey tights from Mon Tissu layered underneath a pair of thigh high socks. The perfect compliment to the look was the black leather boots I bought from [e] during the anniversary sale!

Just a little something short and sweet. I certainly recommend checking out the sweater if you haven't already. It comes in pastels and darker rich colors as well and is priced at an easy $180L! Considering it comes with re-size scripted and non scripted options it really is a versatile piece well worth the price!

LOTD- Just a little something

Hello lovlies!

I just wanted to share today's look with everyone. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it honestly. Aside from the skirt I'm not showing much new or unseen.

I putzed around with the beige skirt and a blue sweater but the combo wasn't quite what I was hoping to be. Also it should be noted that this skirt is mesh. It comes with glitch pants and a mesh piece that is only between the legs to give that super tight effect. The mesh comes in two different sizes and there is a demo available for anyone still not sure of mesh fitting yet!

Mon Tissu I adore you

I've been enjoying the seasonal changes in RL a lot. It's the first time in a year I am not surrounded by palm trees!

I was super excited to check out the latest releases from Mon Tissu in-world last night! I'll admit I did go a bit overboard on purchases. I also snagged my look from the picture ad because it was so very Khloe. It's quite hard to tell in this photo but I gave myself a bit of a makeover as well.

As I've mentioned often I tend to change my look with the seasons just like in RL. With this in mind I decided to go a shade lighter on my skin than normal. I also went a few shades lighter on my hair. It's minor but it still feels huge! Check it out

Believe it or not these two photos were taken months apart. I chose to show the same hair and look in a lighter style to show the difference from then until now! I've had a few minor head shape changes over the months but have basically stayed the same. What do we think of the "new" me?

Whhheeeww. I'm calling it a day. This laptop I am currently using is horrible. It took me nearly 3 hours just to post this! I so miss my awesome computer. After a total of 15 crashes on SL I grabbed the least glitchy photos to work with.

LOTD- July 14th SL ATE my Landmarks

No, I'm serious, it did! I swear!! I had this magical idea to cut back on the amount of random in my inventory by loading random objects in to boxes, poses into pose stands and lm's into notecards. Guess what? I have a #$%# ton of LM's that I now can't open because SL has decided to not respond to my pathetic clicking . FAIL.

So that's my somewhat excuse if I randomly tp into someones home, bed, office... whatever. I had a flash of someone screaming, " A dingo ate my baby!" creepy.

Anyways, enough blabbering. On the the good stuff! When it comes to most of my looks I tend to style the entire deal around one object or thought. I might see a RL look I like or find a shirt that absolutely needs a theme. When I found this amazing hair from Plume my brain went a little nuts with the possibilities. I debated between beachy or retro. Retro almost always wins in my book.

I am absolutely in love with this hair! It's fun and flirty for summer. I always worry about severe hair styles as it tends to make my face look square but this style is absolutely adorable!

LOTD-July 6th- Not so wide open spaces

I'm feeling a little sad today. Someone rented the plot G and I have been hoping to snatch up for a few days now. That's one thing I hate about SL. Unless we cough up more dough to put a hold on a plot most of the time it's gone before the next pay check rolls in. It was a really great plot too! Double our current prims and even had a park someone put in. Sad Facccce :(

Anyways, here's the LOTD. Not really anything super new just a bunch of cute stuff I rediscovered while doing some clean outs!

This is the kind of outfit my RL self would wear if I could find the exact same colors and textures for an outfit. I heart this!

I absolutely LOVE these sandals! I was looking for a pair of flats a few months ago that I could wear with anything. I has seen a few pairs around the grid that cost insane amount of prices in my end. I'm sorry no matter how good your products are I refuse to pay 900L for a pair of  shoes made from sculpts that can be bought my anyone on Marketplace. JUst because you hand drew those textures does not make them magic. At most you spent 1000L to make that pair of shoes... Even if you sold them for 300 your still make a profit after the first 5 people. End rant

Shoes: Skifija- Secrets of Isis

They may not be amazing quility or cone stamped with a well known brand name but they are pretty great. What sets them apart is their low price (149L) and their ability to be customized completely. Everything from the metal to the soles are color change. You can also change the brightness and shine as well. They give a big bang for their buck!

LOTD-July 4th-ish

It's not quite July 4th yet but I decided to put a look together today as I will be visiting friends tomorrow! IMHO the garish American flag based outfits are evil. I understand everyone wants to be 'patriotic' but I feel there is a way to show the red white and blue theme without looking like you tore apart an old worn flag!


Warning: What you are about to see may be offensive to the photography lovers eye. I in  no way believe myself a master of photography. I just show it like it is!

I have to toot my own horn for a second here. At first I didn't even notice my patriotic flare until someone pointed it out! I just loved the splashy texture of the skirt itself. In fact I love this skirt so much I might go out and buy a few more. This is a rare thing for me. If anyone knows me I avoid certain types of SL clothes like the plague. While my shape is in no way 'hefty' I tend to have more hips and butt than most designers make allowances for. If you have ever had this problem then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Belts look like hover rings, skirts battle to contain my butt..It's a bit of a nightmare. So on normal days I stick to pants, tight skirts or the ever beloved alpha layer to get my fashionista on.

For real though Mon tissu skirts can run a bit small in the behind area so I was extremely pleased that all it too was a minor adjustment of skirt placement and I was set to go!
